Port Aventura

Universal Mediterranea is found near the popular Spanish resort Salou, and is well accessible by train, or by the native airport in Reus that is concerning ten minutes drive away. The resort offers varied admission plans, however there are separate charges for each parks. However, guests of 1 of the resort hotels receive free entrance to each parks throughout their keep.

Port Aventura is split into 5 lands. Mediterrania is themed around atiny low Mediterranean coastal fishing village, and includes several outlets, and 2 transportation rides. Polynesia relies on a tropical paradise, and includes many rides and shows, and a few stunning landscaping. Then there's China, that is home to Dragon Khan, and Mexico, that is themed once the traditional Mayan culture. Finally, is that the so much West, one in all the foremost impressively themed Wild West cities I actually have ever seen.

The theming and landscaping at the park are exceptional, and nearly nearly as good as Islands of journey. However, the IOA themes have edge as a result of they're additional intricate and imaginative. The park is kept spotlessly clean, and is simple to navigate. There are lots of places to eat, starting from quick food kiosks, through to themed restaurants. The food is extremely sensible, and reckoning on what you eat the costs are low-cost, and therefore the exchange rate will actually facilitate this.

The park includes a wide variety of rides, as well as 2 world category coasters, 3 themed water rides, a state of the art simulator (Sea Odyssey) and a computer graphics attraction (Templo del Fuego), each of that are exemplary if you wish that sort of factor. What the park will lack though are any spectacular flat rides, though there are many themed spinning and swinging rides dotted round the park, nothing extremely caught my eye. identical is true for kiddie rides, there's no themed land for teenagers, though they are doing have many rides and play areas.

Port Aventura extremely comes into its own with its shows, I counted over twenty five totally different shows throughout day, and though i am not a good lover of shows, they are doing appear to be a true crowd drawer at this park. throughout my visit the park was baron within the morning, however by mid afternoon the park was filling up, conjointly the lines for the shows were huge! There was also a Halloween event on, that continued up to mid November, and this is often included free with admission. Basically, they closed half the Mexico space of the park and turned it into one huge haunted maze known as La Selva Del Miedo. This was fully fantastic and included well over fifty characters, and though the road was nearly an hour, it had been the sole line all day, and was well definitely worth the wait.

The park was operating 2 trains on every of the parks coasters (2 per track on Stampida, one on Tami-Tami), that was commendable because the park was empty for the primary a part of the day. sadly the workers assign seating, and don't enable you to attend for the front or back seats, that I found terribly annoying. Assigned seating could improve capability, however when the train is empty is it extremely necessary to force individuals into one half the train? except for this policy, everything else concerning the workers was okay; they appear quite friendly and fairly economical, and that they did enable re-rides at midnight when nobody was waiting.

I was within the park for over ten hours and had an amazing time, this was my last park visit for the 2003, and it had been one the foremost enjoyable visits I actually have had to a park in a long-standing. Universal Port Aventura may be a wonderful park with some nice theming and landscaping, and 2 nice coasters, and for his or her tenth anniversary they're rumored to be obtaining a replacement world category coaster, and that i cannot wait to come.
